It’s NO FUN being sick! It’s not just because of the enjoyable things we cannot do, but also because of how bad we feel. However, before you run off to the doctor or the drug store to get those “feel better” pills, take a moment to consider why we feel so bad. The surprising truth is that almost everything that bothers us is not the illness or even the cause of the illness. It’s the symptom of the illness.

Even more surprising is the fact that almost all of those aches and sniffles and sore throats and even fevers are friends, not enemies. They are present as part of the amazingly efficient body to alert us to take action or, in some cases, to avoid certain actions, In either case, we will be doing what is best for our health.

Take, for example, a runny nose, a coughing spell, a sore throat, and a fever. All of these are symptoms of infection. They are compelling us to blow our nose to expel the infectious agents that have gathered in our nasal sinuses – or to cough up the same from our lungs and bronchial areas – or to raise our temperature to the point where germs cannot survive. It’s nature at its healing best.

So, what do we do about it? All too often, we reach for cough medicines and cold packs which do nothing to treat the underlying infections but merely eliminate the symptoms. We cease sneezing and coughing and bring down our temperature – only to discover that the infection takes longer to go away or grows into a more serious illness.

Our immune system and other natural repair mechanisms have infinitely more healing intelligence than our technology. The body is an amazing machine, and we are well advised to maintain it with the natural substances it was designed to use – none of which come from test tubes in a chemistry lab.

That’s why, for many months, I have been sharing information with you about the immune system, nitric oxide, and food-source nutrition. Nature has the answer.

Here’s one more case in point. Cardiovascular illnesses most likely are caused (or aggravated) by an abnormally low level of nitric oxide. Low nitric oxide usually means that …

•    Blood vessels and airways are constricted
•    Blood vessels are more vulnerable to clotting
•    Blood is deficient in oxygen

So, once again, we see that conditions such as blood clotting, shortness of breath, and low energy are merely symptoms of insufficient levels of nitric oxide in the blood stream.

We will be joined by long-time nitric-oxide advocate, John Hewlett, Founder and formulator of Cardio Miracle. He joins the discussion to bring his nitric-oxide expertise and passion to the topic.
