2019 August 18 My 3 anti-aging secrets
Everyone is amazed at my energy level and work output at age 87. Last week I met an old friend I have not seen since 2001, and he asked if, like the silent-movie comedian Harold Lloyd, I had learned how to stop the clock.
Some are convinced I have a secret formula or magic potion that keeps me going. Frankly, I am amazed, too, and I don't pretend to know for sure why I have been so lucky, but here is what I believe. First of all, it has nothing to do with how well I took care of my health when I was young. Like most young people who think they are indestructible, I abused my body and avoided anything that had the word nutrition attached to it. I lived as though there were two human species – young and old –and I was one of the lucky ones to be young. Too bad about the old. It was just a matter of fate. I was disabused of that fantasy at about age 40 when I developed gout. Who, ME? With an old man's condition? It was a wake-up call that sent me scurrying to the health section of my local library. (This was before the days of Internet searches). What I found was depressing. All the books were written from the perspective of drug-based medicine – and all of them recommended drugs as the only known treatment. Some of them recommended exercise to supplement the drugs, but there was no hint of a cause-cure relationship between gout and blood circulation. It was all about uric acid collecting in the blood vessels, and drugs to get it out. Everything I read said the cause of gout was uric acid becoming crystalline in the capillaries – and there is no cure. Depressing, indeed! As I pondered my fate, I wondered WHY uric acid became crystalline in the capillaries with age. Then it occurred to me that I had never seen or even heard of a farmer with gout, even an old one if he was still farming. Gout is associated with portly, sedentary, successful business men who live in luxury. An occasional game of golf is usually their maximum exercise, and most of that involves riding in a golf cart. They don't even carry their own golf clubs. And what do these guys like to eat? Well, it's usually pretty high on the hog: lots of meat, great pastas and desserts, expensive booze, and seconds on everything. Don't forget the cigars. I began to wonder if lack of exercise – leading to reduced blood flow – excessive quantities of highly processed foods, with some toxins added to the mix, might have something to do with why I had gout. So I decided to find out. I began taking a nutritional supplement that was rich in anti-oxidants to clear out arterial gunk, cut back (somewhat) in my carbohydrate intake, and began modest floor exercises three times per week. None of this was even close to heroic in scale. Just a few minor changes. Three weeks later, my gout was gone! From that moment, on, I have been an advocate of health from nature instead of a test tube. That is my secret - which is no secret at all. I have been shouting this to the rooftops ever since. If you have read my stuff for very long, you have heard me say this in one way or another many times. All that remains to be discovered is what, specifically, do I do on a regular basis other than modest exercise (now five days per week) and a good brand of multi-vitamins and multi-minerals? That, also, is no secret, because the answer involves three products that I have praised in previous emails for their anti-aging effect. They are: (1) Cardio Miracle, (2) Soul, and (3) Recharge. All of these are available at The Reality Zone. Cardio Miracle is nature's regulator of blood pressure and arterial health. There is no doubt in my mind that it saved my life from complications of high blood pressure. By improving circulation, it supports virtually every function in the body. For details or to order, click here. Soul is nature's first-aid kit to help the body repair any condition caused by inflammation or DNA damage - which is a lot. My shingles did not go away until I took Soul orally and applied it topically. Its source of nutrients is seeds. For details or to order, click here. Recharge is an herbal extract that stimulates DNA to restore their end caps, the loss of which is associated with inability of cells to replace themselves. Theoretically, reversing this process can reverse aging. I started taking Recharge in 2013. For details or to order, click here. These are my anti-aging "Secrets" for all the world to know. G.
