The  splat  heard 'round the world

This is a shorter version of the message I sent two days ago. It's meant as a reminder that the program described below will be pulled from the Internet after this weekend.

In my opinion, the economic bubbles around the world are at the limit of how long they can last. If we hope to avoid having our checking and savings accounts wiped out, we must convert them to something that will retain its purchasing power while currency and check-book money become worthless ‒ and we have to do it soon. When the bubble bursts, it will be a splat heard 'round the world -- and it will occur quickly. 

For reasons that are familiar to most of you, the simplest and safest harbor for most people is gold and silver. Even with precious-metals, however, there are questions that must be answered: What is the right price? Is it OK to purchase by mail, or is cash-and-carry the only way to go? Are numismatic coins better than bullion coins? What is the best way to store precious metals? How can theft be avoided? Can public vaults be trusted?
